I don't period. If I have say 14 out I will always shoot at the double 7 . While others shoot the 2 then double 6. Now thats me, how about you?:biggrinodf:

Depends what my opponent is on to be honest, if I left myself double 7 and my opponent was on 200+ I would go 6 D4 because I wouldn't want to split D7. If I was on D7 and my opponent was sat on a reasonable finish then I would attack the D7 no question.

Depends what my opponent is on to be honest, if I left myself double 7 and my opponent was on 200+ I would go 6 D8 because I wouldn't want to split D7. If I was on D7 and my opponent was sat on a reasonable finish then I would attack the D7 no question.

I play the board and feel that a good player should have confidence in hitting any double out. Thats not saying I'm right and your wrong its just my style. BTW I know your a good player mate:biggrinodf:

I side with Viking on this.

If my opponent is not on a finish, I may tidy up the score to leave a better double (14:- S6 to leave D4).

If my opponent was on any finish, I would always go for the double (Reason:- I was taken out once by an opponent on a 161 finish, because I tidied up a score to leave D16).

If I was on a big checkout I would go for the double regardless of what my opponent was on (eg 155:- T20, T19, D19, Not the greatest double but gave me a large checkout to record).

I don't take prisoners when at the Oche.
I go for the double.
I do try to leave a decent finish to start with

I'd split 14 too with either 6 or 10, play the percentages all the time i do

Only out i'd split is 50.rather 10 d20 than take a chance off a 25 finish.any other double i tend to go for it

I go for the double no matter what, hit the double and finish the leg as soon as possible.

When it comes to reaching a ton plus finish I try to make the 200's eaiser.
'170 Finishes' is a good game to practice if you have a spare half hour

So Steve out of say 24 darts thats 8 rounds how many trip 20's do ya hit? Here in US we concentrate on trips 20,19,18,17,16 and 15 cuz we play lots of cricket sooo I do practice 20's but gotta practice alot the others.

I haven't counted them yet.
I play some round the clock games for a bit , then some 301 to warm up.
Triple triples round the board, but i'm not strict, two in the bec will do
Same on the doubles.

It's not a regime though, I mix up theses sessions as and when I feel.
Like I say its not rigid, but you have to have a lot of variation under you sleeve.

On the 20's I'd say I hit 80s consistently. Under pressure is a different story.
Darts is on the day, and it's true.
and I can play absolute pants and can't get my game back. I just play through it!!
Like at the moment,

I've had 80 180's since Feb and I've given myself a target to get a hundred or more over a year so thats 21 in 2 months left

Co Stompe wears a shirt,
And at the moment its winter and I've a big thick woolly jumper on, and this is making me adapt to a different feel in my arm.

I've got three darts boards I rotate, and switch after 2 rotaions of 14 and 12 segments and have been testing them out

I play off the cuff!!

I just go for the kill but after missing 2 rounds at the double then I will split it up to change it. I'm not as good as you guys taking a double in 2 or 3 darts, I'm more like 4-30 darts

You have as much chance as the next fella.
In my opinion, you win even if you get paggered by the other bloke,
If only to make you play better.
