This week continuing the 80 finish, but this time using the 16s route

There is a lot of discussion whether the 16s route is better than the 20s route for the 80 finish.
So we are putting this to the test

Instructions
The forum challenge week is to see how many 80 finishes you can complete
in an hour during the week using the 16s.

The traditional way would be
T16 D16

Anyone can enter just post your name below
Starting Midnight Thursdays and taking place through
the week ending Thursday midnight next week

All the 80s will be totalled up and the score recorded.
If you attempt the challenge but get none just post Zero or Zip

To make things easier, and to allow for
international time differences, shift workers,
unexpected visitors etc,
You can pick the hour that suits you
Think of it as ‘a work out and an experiment’

I scored 15 this week.

T16 D16 = 10
S16 T16 D8 = 2
S8 T12 D18 = 1
T8 S16 D20 = 1
T7 S19 DB = 1

Got 33 last week. So I think you could have a good guess on where I will continue going when left with 80 on the board :winkodf:

By the way, there is no doubting going the 16's routes gives you more opportunities of an outshot. Just that I'm more comfortable & confident of taking it out going via 20's :smileodf:

i got 5 going the 16's route (got 15 via 20's)

T16 D16 = 2
S16 T16 D8 = 1
S16 S14 Bull = 2

even though D16 is my fav double i prefer going the 20's route, as i ended up throwing for S16, S14, Bull a lot (and i'm a rubbish at bull)
S20 S20 D20 is an easier route for me

Exactly the same here mate, I much prefer D16 myself, but go 20's when on 80.

I've not been able to take part in this experiment thus far due to a poorly wrist, hopefully I can try on thursday.

Also I think the lack of interest on the 16s is very telling as to what is favourite.

Thanks for the entries so far, it goes part way to giving us an indicator in this discussion :smileodf:

You're welcome Steve.

And yes, I won't lie to you, I had to force myself to do this. I'd be lying if I said I enjoyed it because quite honestly I got fed up after 30 minutes of doing it, forced myself to finish it off though :smileodf:

i prefer the 16s route for 80 over the 20s way . has anyone got tips on over coming nerves when playing as i tend to suffer from this for time time. i can hold hold me against some good player in my area but when it comes to the crunch nerves get the better of me .
