I've thrown with those, slightly heavier as a buddy of mine is a Monster player and uses the Raptors as the base for his soon to be out custom dart.

the new monster rapier with the micro grip could very well be my perfect dart if they made them heavier

Yes, fotoman is talking about me.

I designed my dart based upon the Monster dart called the Ogre. When I signed with Monster, I used the Ogre barrels because I prefer a straight barrel with a tapered nose. I chose the name Raptor for my new dart and then I discovered another dart maker already using that name. LOL.

When my dart goes to production, it will have a different name. Plans are to have it ready in time for the Las Vegas Open in Jan 2012.

FYI...both Haruki Muramatsu and Morihiro Hashimoto are coming to play in the 2012 LVO.

Monster darts are now available in the UK at a much more reasonable 55:

    http://www.monster-darts.co.uk

Six different barrel designs all with steel tips - not Japanese soft-tip.
